Min- is proud to present Karina Beumer’s new film ‘Was Het Maar Zo Makkelijk’ (If Only It Were That Easy) (27’21” HDV Colour, Stereo, 2016).
In an upfront, humorous and at times seemingly naive manner Karina Beumer confronts people around her with existential questions. By documenting their honest replies and uncomfortable responses, each one of them becomes actor and accomplice in her search for meaning in the trivial matters of everyday life.
The film was shot over the last few months at BOZAR Brussels, Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, the bathroom of the Belgium Performance festival and at Min- Rotterdam.
